A Check-Up / Cleaning

At Dentistry at Vitality Health we treat our clients the way we want to be treated; with care, compassion and the most up-to-date technologies available.  We firmly believe that prevention is the key to continued oral and overall health.

We also believe that prevention of tooth decay, gum disease and the early detection of oral cancers is not only the way to a healthy mouth and body, but also the best way to have a healthy smile. That is why we perform routine examinations to monitor the health of your mouth and to prevent or immediately treat disease.

There is no doubt that regular visits to the dentist and dental hygienist form the basis for maintaining oral health and/or detecting any problems or diseases at their earliest.  This can be achieved through patient attendance at regular maintenance visits (for cleanings and checkups every 3 to 6 months) and through the systematic performance of complete oral examinations (COEs).

A Complete Oral Exam (or COE) includes the taking of a panorex and full mouth series (FMS) x-rays, digital photos, intra-oral photos, a full charting of the teeth, a periodontal assessment, an intra/extra oral cancer screening and a consultation to review the necessary treatment(s) and the options.
